The first two columns come entirely from the Abbey Magazine of 1970, clearly proud that so many of the latest school-leavers went into further education.
Most comments in columns 3 and 4 come from your editor’s local knowledge … please correct where wrong. They refer to the young men’s further life.
This is especially the aspect we would dearly love our readership to complete!
P.S. I didn’t know Desi and John O’Sullivan went first to Baldoyle to train as Christian Brothers!

Robbie McLoughlin trained as a teacher at De La Salle, Manchester and has worked the chalkface ever since. Currently he is Deputy-Headmaster at St Damian’s RC College in Ashton-Under-Lyne.
