These photos show the River/Kilmorey/Boat St area: Albert Basin with Lock-keeper’s Cottage: Belfast Rd/Ardmore area: Balmoral/Upper Damolly Rd area: Bridge St/Quays/Ballybot area: and the Belfast Road leaving Newry. Perhaps most remarkable is how little has changed of the centre; and how much in the suburbs!

Radio Ulster in S Armagh
We were out and about with the Radio Ulster reporter Laura Heyden who is to feature the delights of South Armagh in her Radio Ulster show on Saturday week (20 November) at 11.30 a.m. Peter Connolly of the Arts Centre Restaurant in Bank Parade was also there. And there are a few photos of the scenery!
To the woods! To the woods!
The autumn shades were reason enough to walk in the woods of the Hall Estate. We also had seclusion and peace. We found a family of pheasants (hen concealed in undergrowth here!), a woodcutter’s cottage, several exotic mushrooms and other plants and met some forestry and quarry workers. Tomorrow to fresh woods and pastures new!
Seagahan Dam
Seagahan Dam and Conservation area, within sight of Armagh city, is well worth a visit. We walked round it, some three to four kilometres. Some work was in progress and we learned that the suspension of straw bales in the water helps water quality!
Postcard ‘Point/Rostrevor
