With the first signs of Spring come the amateur drama festivals and below is reproduced that for the beautiful village of Lislea in South Armagh.
Patrons will note the very wise decision once again to restrict performances to three nights a week – Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays. (From a selfish point of view it leaves ALL my Bridge nights free to me!)
You will note too that in the Confined circuit, Irish dramatists feature prominently and almost all the groups are rural. This is more family entertainment.
I hope you will buy a Season Ticket and enjoy all these performances. I will review each night’s play and outline the plot. I am especially looking forward to the home side’s enactment and to Frank McGuinness’s Carthaginians on the Final Night.
See you there.
