I twice promised to return to list the early residents of Linenhall Square and I am finally returning to fulfil that promise.
Unfortunately we suffer on Journal from two perennial problems: either too much material awaiting to upload : or too little. I’m currently grappling with the former.
So please be patient. All story lines will eventually be resumed to completion!

My source here tells me that eight of these names are unknown to him who lived in these houses a generation later! He tells me also that the nicknames Bucky, Doot and Goats applied to members of three of these families. Work it out!
Owen McKeown was the lamp-lighter of old, when street lights were still gas-fired!
My informant tells me that with his mates he’d follow after, extinguishing the lights as soon as they were lit.
Funny, what young boys consider to be hilarious!
